Walk-in Interview for the Position of Junior Research Fellows

Fellowship Details

Number of Fellowships: 02 (subject to change)

Tenure: Initially for 2 years, extendable as per project requirements

Stipend: ₹37,000/- per month

Contingency Grant: ₹15,000/- per annum (first 2 years), may increase to ₹20,000/- for subsequent years

Subject/Discipline: Chemistry/ Material Science/Polymer Science

Qualification: Post Graduate degree in relevant discipline (basic sciences) in first division with NET qualification

Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on date of interview (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates; OBC candidates in the creamy layer are not eligible for age relaxation)

Benefits:

Medical facility for self through MI Room at campus; HRA as per Government norms

Note: JRFs are not eligible for DA, CCA, Bonus, or Retirement benefits

Important Instructions

• The walk-in interview will be held on December 5, 2025 (Wednesday) at 09:00 hrs at DMSRDE Transit Facility (Near DRLM Puliya), G.T. Road, Kanpur – 208004.
• Candidates must bring:

• • Duly filled Bio-data (as per prescribed format)

  • Recent passport-size photograph

  • Self-attested copies of mark sheets, certificates, testimonials, community certificate (if applicable), and GATE/NET score card

  • Original documents for verification

  • ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN Card, or Driving License)

• Candidates working in Government / PSU / Autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel and bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
• OBC category refers to non-creamy layer candidates only.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• Selection is purely on merit, and DMSRDE reserves the right not to select any candidate if suitable applicants are not found.
• The award of fellowship does not confer any right for permanent employment in DRDO or DMSRDE.
