The National Centre for Polar & Ocean Research (NCPOR), an autonomous society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, is the nodal agency for the Indian Polar Programme. NCPOR also conducts basic and applied research in polar and ocean sciences.

Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in any branch of Science related to Chemical Sciences /Earth Sciences/Geology/Applied Geology/Marine Geology/Marine Science/Environmental Science/OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology related to the relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying degree level.
- Essential Experience: 3 years of experience in teaching (at graduate or postgraduate level), research and development, survey, administration, planning, supervision, or training in the field of isotope geosciences/environmental geochemistry/biogeochemistry/organic geochemistry/paleoclimatology.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Doctorate in the relevant branch of Science from a recognized University.
- Experience in policy-making, planning, or management related to polar/ocean sciences.
- Extensive field experience and high-quality peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Job Requirement:
- Planning and execution of scientific research in the field of polar sciences, focusing on isotope geosciences, biogeochemistry, geochemistry, or palaeoclimatology.
