Job Title: Senior Analyst SDS Author
Role Description: The SDS Author is responsible for ensuring that the SDS is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as being accurate and up to date across the globe. He/she must accurately interpret and convey the information in the SDS and ensure that all relevant information is included. Must be able to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and other external stakeholders. He/she must also have a good understanding of the company’s product line and the hazards associated with each product. The analyst must be able to work independently and collaboratively with other team members. He/she must be proactive in making decisions and strategic moves.
Job Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in Chemistry/Organic chemistry/Biotechnology.
- The candidate should have 2 to 4 years of experience in a relevant field of life science. (Preferably experience with GHS CLP knowledge)
Technical Skills / Competencies:
- Chemistry knowledge:
- Knowledge of Chemistry subjects, in-depth understanding of Functional groups, structures, etc.
- Should judge the hazards based on structures and functional group
- Ability to do similarity search and evaluate data from a similar substance
- SAP user knowledge:
- Navigation of different screens/transactions
- Ability to create specifications and search for proper data in the SAP system
- Global Chemical Regulatory Knowledge:
- Awareness about SDS and Hazards.
- Knowledge about Chemical Regulations and how to classify them. e.g., GHS, CLP, etc.
- Know about digital tools and advanced Excel.
Behavioral Competencies as Senior Analyst SDS Author
Proficiency in Interpersonal skills, Problem-solving, Planning & execution, Customer orientation, Business acumen, and Impactful communication along with decision-making abilities.
