The Position

Designation & Level: Research Scientist- Analytical Chemistry (L1)
Location: Bharuch
Key Responsibilities
- Sample Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of samples from R&D projects, plant troubleshooting, customer inquiries, and competitor products. Focus on fine chemical intermediates and final product samples to ensure quality and compliance.
- R&D Support: Provide analytical support for R&D activities to optimize processes and develop new products.
- Plant Troubleshooting: Analyze samples to identify and resolve manufacturing process issues, ensuring smooth operations.
- Customer and Competitor Samples: Analyze customer and competitor samples to provide insights and support business strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all analyses follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all analytical activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to share findings and support decision-making.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest analytical techniques and technologies to improve quality and efficiency.
- Analytical Methods: Possess comprehensive knowledge of various analytical methods used in the laboratory.
- Wet and Instrumental Analysis: Conduct wet and instrumental analysis to determine the composition and properties of substances.
- Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as GC, HPLC, Karl Fischer titrator, pH meter, electronic balance, oven, and stability chamber.
- Gaseous Cylinders: Safely handle and manage gaseous cylinders containing nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, and other gases.
- Method Development and Validation: Develop and validate analytical methods to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability.
- Chemical Handling: Handle general chemicals, solvents, acids, and bases with proper safety protocols.
- Documentation: Prepare SOPs, specifications, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records to ensure traceability and compliance.
The Person
- Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry
- Experience: 4-8 years of analytical experience in Chemical or API industries, specifically in Quality Control (QC) and Analytical Research and Development (ARD).
- Software Proficiency: Utilize software tools such as BAAN, LN, and SAP for data management and process documentation.
