Job Description
As a Research Science Liaison (RSL), you will be the link between clinical investigators, study coordinators, and internal stakeholders, fostering relationships to enhance clinical trial engagement and patient enrollment. This role focuses on driving the successful execution of clinical trials through collaboration, education, and strategic support.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Principal Investigators (PIs), study coordinators, and clinical trial sites.
- Act as the primary liaison for investigators, addressing queries and facilitating communication.
Patient Recruitment and Site Engagement:
- Identify appropriate patients and their physicians to accelerate clinical study enrollment.
- Collaborate with existing clinical sites and identify potential new sites for trials.
- Support recruitment through local and regional outreach strategies.
Study Protocol Implementation:
- Partner with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations teams to ensure effective implementation of study protocols.
- Facilitate investigator meetings and training on recruitment and retention strategies.
Education and Training
:- Deliver medical and scientific education to trial sites based on study-specific engagement plans.
- Provide feedback to internal stakeholders on clinical trial training materials.
Strategic Contributions:
- Suggest and support the implementation of recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Escalate investigator concerns and contribute to the resolution of challenges related to study execution.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications: Advanced science degree required (PhD, PharmD, MD, NP, PA, or equivalent); MD, PhD, or PharmD highly preferred.
Experience:
- Clinical trial experience with a focus on patient recruitment or investigational site management.
- Expertise in inflammatory disease states; experience in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is preferred.
- Proven ability to engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design and execution.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships and delivering education.
Flexibility and Travel: Willingness and ability to travel as required.
