Mission

As Project Engineer – Lubricants, your mission is to ensure global chemical regulatory compliance for private-labeled lubricant products. This includes maintaining product safety, adhering to legal standards, and managing related documentation.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Management:
    • Draft and manage SDS for private-labeled lubricants using Chemwatch’s Chemical Management System.
    • Ensure SDS compliance with GHS and regulatory standards across all operational regions.
    • Use Chemwatch tools like AuthorITe to produce accurate, compliant SDS.
  • GHS Labeling Compliance:
    • Verify product labels match SDS details and meet GHS and local regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure hazard and precautionary statements, pictograms, and other label details are accurate.
  • Regulatory Monitoring:
    • Track and adapt to changes in chemical regulations at federal, state, and international levels.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Lead document collection and analysis to support regulatory programs.
    • Manage outsourced testing, inspections, and internal compliance audits.
  • SOP Development:
    • Collaborate with safety and compliance experts to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for global markets.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with customs brokers, labs, and trade compliance teams to ensure end-to-end compliance monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
    • Postgraduate diploma in Regulatory Affairs is advantageous.
    • Certifications in GHS or related compliance areas are a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years in chemical compliance or related fields.
    • Proven knowledge of global chemical regulations such as REACH, TSCA, and CLP.
    • Proficiency in Chemwatch or similar chemical management systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
    • Adaptability to legislative changes and proactive problem-solving.
    • Multilingual proficiency is a bonus.
