Core Purpose of the Role: Conduct in vivo pharmacokinetics study in rodents
Experience: 1-3 years post qualification
Education: M. Pharm (Pharmacology & Toxicology)
Role Accountabilities:
- Conduct pharmacokinetic studies in rodents
- Document lab notebooks online and manage compounds
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic team environment
- Possess knowledge and exposure to EHS practices
- Follow EHS requirements at all times in the workplace, ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
- Ensure EHS measures are imparted via training and adhered to within the team

Specific Requirements for This Role:
Skills and Capabilities:
- Well-versed with surgical procedures like cannulation of jugular, femoral, and portal veins in rats, chronic bile duct cannulations, and various animal models for in vivo pharmacokinetics studies
- Collection of different vital organs during tissue distribution studies in rodents
- Pharmacokinetic data analysis using Phoenix WinNonlin and other data analysis tools
- Collection of biological fluids like cerebrospinal fluid, bile, urine, and synovial fluid lavage during PK and tissue distribution studies in rodents
- Preliminary understanding of formulations used for pharmacokinetics, efficacy, and toxicity studies
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics is desirable
