What You Will Do
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Raw Materials Senior Scientist, who will conduct analytical testing of raw materials and clinical supplies
, as required. This role will need to navigate through compendial documents, document testing, troubleshoot instruments, and enter data into the LIMS system. They will be responsible for the management of end-to-end testing including related safety aspects and communicating testing status to relevant team members and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical testing of raw materials, clinical supplies, and/or reference standards.
- Execute analytical testing for finished products per current methodology.
- Test raw materials per current pharmacopeial methodologies and will navigate through the USP and Ph. Eur. compendial documents.
- Document all analytical testing in a notebook following all applicable SOPs and cGMPS.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on chromatographic instruments and perform instrumental and wet chemistry testing including titrations, HPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV, and other chemical analyses.
- Enter data into the LIMS system and calibrate instruments per current procedures as needed.
- Order reagents and other consumables and proactively identify lab supplies that are needed to maintain and improve laboratory functioning.
- Always practice company safety practices as well as compliance with all applicable internal, State, and local regulations.
- Communicate testing status and perform assigned analytical activities to support ongoing projects.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum MSc, B Pharm, M. Pharm, Ph.D. or equivalent science stream with a minimum of 6 years of work experience.
- Familiarity with GMP is required.
- This candidate will be able to handle multiple, competing priorities and work with minimal supervision to creatively accomplish technical tasks.
Desired Qualifications
- A focused degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
- Experience working with raw materials or reference standards.
- Familiarity with quality systems and requirements related to product development and raw materials.
- Experience in authoring procedures.
- Have experience performing instrumental and wet chemistry testing including titrations, HPLC, GC, FT-IR, UV, and other chemical analyses successfully.
- It is preferred that this candidate have strong technical writing skills and strong communication skills.
