STEM Content Analyst
Location: Tamil Nadu, India
We are looking for a Chemistry professional to join our team in Chennai. You’ll join the Chemistry & Synthesis team responsible for curating Chemistry Drugs and Synthesis reactions collected from patents, journals, and congress publications delivered to Drug Discovery Intelligence.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Degree in Life Sciences (preferably in Chemistry or Pharmacy) and experience in drug indexations and/or patents
- At least 2 years experience in a global corporate setting and with a strong knowledge of Life Science & Healthcare content
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization
- Good judgment in decision-making and priority setting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
It would be great if you also had the following:
- Ability to analyze processes, identify problems, and develop effective solutions
- Capability to work remotely with peers in an international environment
- Ability to delve deep into content and results
What will you be doing in this role?
- Selecting and analyzing relevant drug-focused articles and/or patents
- Drawing chemical compounds after analyzing the articles and patents
- Understanding and interpreting complex and detailed Pharma and Chemical related information from Patents/Articles
- Achieving production volume and quality targets
- Recording performance against targets
- Taking an active role within the team to ensure targets are met
- Maintaining awareness of current developments in own technology areas
- Achieving and maintaining consistent quality standards with effective personal planning and time management
- Maintaining a flexible and adaptable approach towards process change
- Taking responsibility for identifying technology training and developmental needs for yourself on an ongoing basis
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager/director on a permanent or temporary basis
About the Team
You’ll be reporting to the Manager of the Chemistry & Synthesis team and will be part of the Discovery and Clinical team with more than 100 colleagues, based in Spain, India, and the UK.
Hours of Work
This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week. The position is hybrid, requiring visits to our office in Chennai.
