Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in DST Applications are invited from the suitable candidates for the one (01) post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a project titled “Biosurfactant coated PLA-PEG polymeric nanoparticle as antimicrobial food packaging material” sanctioned by CSIR, HRDG, Govt. of India for three years at UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The detailed information is given below:

Description Details Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

No of Posts: 01

Project Title: Biosurfactant coated PLA-PEG polymeric nanoparticle as antimicrobial food packaging material

Project Duration/Tenure of Post: Three (03) years or position is coterminous with the project

Nature of Appointment: The appointment will be on a purely temporary basis and the position is coterminous with the project. The performance of JRF will be evaluated on a regular basis and continuation will be based on satisfactory performance.

Sponsoring Agency: CSIR, HRDG, Govt. of India

Fellowship: (37000/- in First & Second years, 42000/- in 3rd year upon

upgradation) + 18% HRA

Essential Qualification: B.S. 4 years programme /BPharm/MBBS/Integrated BSMS/MSc/BE/BTech or equivalent degree in Biotechnology/Life Sciences with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test

Desirable: Experience in relevant field

Age Limit: JRF-28 Yrs

Age relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable up-to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates

Job Specifications/Responsibilities: To perform work assigned and assist the PI and Co-PI in various phases of the research project.

4. Shortlisted Candidates have to present themselves for the interview on August 05 (Monday), 2024 from 11.00 am in Conference Hall, UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The candidates must report along with updated CV, original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/ certificates in support of their academic qualifications at least one hour before the scheduled time.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
6. Selected Candidate may also register for PhD program at UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh as per the Institute norms/ Rules.
