The TS&D Specialist will provide technical service and development support for Liveo™ Healthcare business in India. The candidate will work closely with customers to identify new opportunities, have line of sight and take ownership to develop effective solutions, qualify new products based on customized material properties, serve as a mechanism to feedback regional needs to marketing and R&D to position Liveo™ Healthcare products and drive sustainable business growth for the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical service and development support for healthcare customers to drive business growth, including technical training, troubleshooting, and new product/application development and associated testing to enable qualification.
- Lead projects from conception through implementation and manufacturing. Help establish project plans, monitor performance according to plan and is accountable for delivering goals and objectives on targets.
- Conduct lab work for new product/application development, performance testing, process improvement, troubleshooting, etc., and document data properly.
- Build up lab capabilities including new equipment, processes and test methods where needed.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness at the program level and is a vocal safety advocate in all operations at the department level.
- Prepare, update, and maintain technical guides and marketing literature.
- Conduct technical presentations at company meetings, technical conferences, and customer/partner facilities.
- Identify and develop opportunities for improvement or business gains.
- Assist regional commercial and marketing team to develop and achieve business growth plans.
- Assist with development of product value-propositions and understand competitive landscape.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Life Science or related background is required. Candidates with an advanced degree are preferred.
- A minimum of 3-year work experience in silicones and/or healthcare industry is required.
- The candidate must have experience working with external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and define customer needs, and drive new product/application development to meet customer needs.
- Strong background in problem solving, using multiple analytical procedures to identify and characterize product development barriers.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze prior art and incorporate information and knowledge management tools and systems into work.
- Demonstrated ability to make clear, persuasive, concise, and well-organized oral presentations. Effectively communicate verbally and in writing to team members and management on all aspects of program activity. Excellent English communication skills.
- Highly motivated and self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels in the organization.
- Be able to work well in teams and to work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated results in a customer-facing technical role.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and drive new customer opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams to manage various projects and key customer relationships.
- Have a proven record of accomplishments, including developing/launching new products, patents, publications and/or novel product claims.
- Proficiently use patent analysis tools to maintain expert understanding of a technology/market area.
