Roles and responsibilities –
Candidate is expected to work in the laboratory to carry out “on the bench” experiments and in pilot line to demonstrate feasibility and development of products. Shall work with the team for the development of new products or to modify performance of existing products with chemical and physical characterization. Shall be able to perform & contribute to project related scientific activities (collect the testing data, draw conclusion using statistical, documenting the data in the form of test reports). Shall interact within the team and cross functional team members. Expected to read, write & use appropriate literature / patent / market research related to the projects. Shall report scientific and technical findings in the form of internal research / test reports. Shall be able to execute and check the reliability of results achieved with preconditioned variables. Expected to abide Atotech Compliance Policy and Confidentiality.
Soft skills –
Ability to analyse data and provide logical conclusions, document in the form of short report, present work in the relevant forums to team
members / scientific audience. Ability to work with team with a strong focus on delivering quality results and identifying alternative solutions when challenges arise. Proficient in writing and oral communication skills. Quick learner, proactive; would have passion to add value in R&D. Strong critical and analytical skills to ensure all aspects of projects are clearly understood, well documented and concluded. In addition, the candidate should be able to generate & develop creative & innovative ideas.Background/Experience –
Good fundamentals in chemical engineering / physical / inorganic / organic / applied chemistry. Experience in statistics and data interpretation & representation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) or statistical software.
Education –
B. Tech / M. Sc. Final / passed.
