Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as Product Design Owner (PDO) within the product family and act as a technical expert for development projects and lifecycle management activities within R&D Kidney Care Solutions Development.
- Plan, organize, and execute sustaining activities in accordance with current QA/environmental regulations and standards.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to change owners and Project Leads within the product family to achieve tasks according to plans, milestones, and business needs.
- Review and approve Design Control documentation for projects in development and sustaining activities.
- Oversee and maintain the design history files for a specific product family.
- Create, maintain, and update technical specifications outlining product appearance, characteristics, and functions, along with related verification and validation documents.
- Plan, organize, and monitor the execution of product changes, supplier changes, and labeling tasks related to lifecycle management projects.
- Support Product Risk Owners by providing design-related information, as well as failure modes and risks from any design changes within the product family.
- Assist with worldwide product registration and launch, adhering to international, regional, and national regulations, and providing technical support in response to authorities’ questions.
- Offer technical leadership for product, process, and cost improvements related to lifecycle management projects.
- Provide resource estimation and forecasting.
- Ensure effective internal and cross-functional communication on a global scale and regularly update project status.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in chemistry or M. Pharm. with at least 14 years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. in a related science discipline with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with medical devices and drug products.
- Proficient in product development stages and lifecycle management: development, stability, clinical, registration, process transfer, production, suppliers, and customer service.
- Strong understanding of Design Control documentation and process.
- Prior experience in the Product Design Owner (PDO) role for drug/pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
- Proven project/program leadership in drug/pharmaceutical products.
- Familiarity with Product Risk Management for medical devices and drug products.
- Working knowledge of international, regional, and national regulations and standards.
- Experience in project management and stakeholder management on a global scale.
- Ability to carry out strategies and visions set by upper management and effectively communicate them to junior associates.
- Capable of working independently.
