• In this role you will support the Net revenue protection, GM expansion and NPD projects, based on relevant consumer insights and business requirements for Health Hygiene products.
• You will be responsible for lab formulation development & troubleshooting, material management, analytical testing and planning project work to ensure that project development milestones are met.

SCOPE / DIMENSIONS OF ROLE

• Based within the Health Hygiene ops R&D structure the role is positioned to manage technical aspects of the project
• The role is based out of Gurgaon, India within the Health Hygiene R&D facility for Dettol team
• The role reports to R&D Associate who in turn reports to the R&D Ops Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Support the delivery of Net revenue protection, GM expansion and NPD projects in Health Hygiene segment.
• Work with hand/Surface hygiene products and evaluate them for chemical and physical properties, performance, and stability.
• Develop formulations and troubleshoot formulas as well as continuous improvement of existing formulas and processes.
• Conduct performance and analysis, evaluations of competitive products
• Conduct laboratory tests, analyze results, and document your findings.
• Record & maintain all laboratory records/notebooks accurately.
• Material management; maintain supplies inventory and order items when needed.
• Understands the product development process as it specifically pertains to R&D.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and execute laboratory work according to required safety and quality standards, as defined in the company’s SOP’s.
• Comply with the correct procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
• Handling of equipment, documentation, usage/storage of sensitive chemicals/reagents and waste disposal.
• Provide technical support within laboratory and other departments as required.

• Delivering results without compromising on safety and quality standards
• Liaison with external partners/vendors & colleagues across the international community to provide technical support
• Ready for a fast-paced response to demanding customers with challenging timelines

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor/master’s degree in science/ Engineering (Chemistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering or other relevant science)
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, relevant experience in FMCG is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in formulation development and laboratory instruments & equipment’s.
• Basic understanding in surfactants, polymer chemistry and cosmetic science, microbiology disinfection.
• Good communication skills for accurate data entry and effectively provide feedback teams.
• Experience in the areas of liquid/gel formulation development is a plus.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques for working at the bench & GLP.
• Timely execution of multiple project objectives within established timelines
• Ability to display a degree of flexibility regarding changing project priorities
• Perform other assignments as delegated by immediate supervisor
