Summer Internship Programme 2024
School of Chemical Sciences (SCS) of NISER offers a vibrant summer internship programme in which participants take up various state-of-art research projects under the supervision of our faculties. This is a two-month-long programme conducted usually between the months of May to July. Apart from regular project work, participants also get an opportunity to participate in various activities organized by SCS, such as seminars on current research work in various fields, visits to different research laboratories of NISER. Interested students from all over India are encouraged to apply for the program.
Who can apply: Students pursuing B.Sc / MSc / Integrated MSc degree with Chemistry as a major subject.
How to apply:
Interested students first need to contact the School of Chemical Sciences, NISER faculties under whom they wish to do their summer internship, through email only. If the faculty agrees to supervise him/her, then only the candidate should apply for the programme. The application form should be complete in all respect and countersigned by their respective Head of the Department/Institution. Email consent obtained from the faculty supervisor should also be attached with the application form. Soft copies of duly filled in application, certificates, mark sheets, email communications, etc. should be sent to [email protected]. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

Stipend:
A limited number of students, who are not funded by any agency for a summer internship, will be provided with a stipend of ₹5,000/- per month and sleeper class railway fare/bus fare which will be transferred to their bank account after successful completion of the internship.
Accommodation:
Accommodation facility is limited, subject to availability. It will be chargeable (₹20/- per day) with a refundable caution money deposit of ₹2,000/-. Contact the above email address for any further queries.
Shortlisted candidates list
The shortlisted candidates list will be uploaded on the SCS website (https://oldsite.niser.ac.in/scs/) or NISER website (https://www.niser.ac.in). The decision of the institute will be final and binding on all candidates regarding this programme, and no correspondences will be entertained in this regard.

- Duration of Programme: 12th May 2024 to 12th July 2024
- Last Date of Application: 21st April 2024
- Publication of shortlisted candidates list by: 30th April 2024.
