Advertisement for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme for the Autumn Semester 2024
IISER Kolkata invites applications from motivated students for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme for the Autumn 2024. The selected candidates can do Ph.D. in any of the following disciplines: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences,Computational and Data Sciences, Earth Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics,Physical Sciences and Space Sciences.
Reservations for candidates will be as per Govt.of India norms.
Eligible applicants of the PhD programme are encouraged to apply for the attractive Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (https://pmrf.in/) in addition to applying to IISER Kolkata regular admission.
The Department of Chemical Sciences (DCS) at IISER Kolkata invites applications for regular Ph.D. programme in the Autumn Semester of 2024 in the disciplines of Inorganic, Organic, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:Â
Bright and motivated candidates who have passed M.Sc. examination with minimum 55% marks in any field of Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics.
In addition, the candidates must have valid GATE Score Card, CSIR/UGC-NET LS or other Equivalent National Eligibility Exam.
OR
Besides satisfying minimal eligibility criteria, the candidates must have CSIR/UGC-NET JRF, INSPIRE fellowship or other Equivalent Fellowships.
