NOTIFICATION NO. 02/2024 FOR WALK -IN-INTERVIEW
CSIR – IICT is conducting Walk-in-Interview on 05.02.2024 for the following positions under various sponsored projects purely on temporary basis.
Candidates who fulfill the under-mentioned criteria of age, educational qualifications, experience etc., may appear for walk-in-interview with the duly filled application form (download the application form from CSIR-IICT Website) along with one set of attested relevant documents (certificates of all educational qualifications from matric/10th onwards, valid NET/GATE etc, Experience, DOB, latest Category/Caste etc) and appear for walk in interview. Candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for verification. Candidates should register their names for walk-in-interview between 09.30 AM to 10.30 AM on 05.02.2024 respectively.

Name of the Post: Senior Project Associate
No. of Posts: 01
Name of the Project: Carbon capture by adsorption process from refinery flue gases at low temperature using novel Porous Organic Polymeric (POP) adsorbents
Upper age limit as on date of walk in interview: 40
Stipend: ₹42,000+HRA
Essential Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent and 4 years’ experience in Research & Development (R&D) in Industrial & Academic Institutions or Science & Technology (S&T) Organizations’ & Scientific activities & services
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in porous organic polymer (POP) based adsorbents synthesis & their characterizations
- Experience in CO2 adsorption isotherms study & data evaluation
Post II
Name of the Post: Project Associate-I
No. of Posts: 02
Name of the Project: Fabrication of polymer waste Derived carbon nanofiber and composite based biodegradable electrospun membranes for water purification and beyond
Upper age limit as on date of walk in interview: 35
Stipend: ₹31,000+HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility tests- CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions and ₹25,000+HRA for others who don’t qualify above
Essential Qualification:
- MSc in Forensic Chemistry/ Material Science/ Polymer Science/ Biochemistry/ any branch of Chemistry (or) B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience working in chemistry lab
- Experience in polymer synthesis, characterization, fabrication of polymer membranes and handling electrospinning unit
- NET/GATE qualified
- Ability to analyse data from UV, PL, XRD, XPS, Raman

Stipend: ₹31,000+HRA (for scholars who qualify NET/GATE etc.), ₹25,000+HRA (for others)
Essential & Desirable qualification:
- MSc in Microbiology / Biotechnology or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Biotechnology

Name of the Project: An integrated system for CO2 capture and in-situ conversion to formic acid

- Experience in Ligand Synthesis & Characterization, Knowledge in protein expression and purification

Name of the Project: Development of process for value addition to filter press residue
Upper age limit as on date of walk in interview: 35
Stipend: ₹25,000/- (Consolidated)
Essential Qualification:
- MSc in Chemistry
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in catalytic organic transformations
General Instructions:
- The above age limits are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups (SC/ST/OBC) and PWD candidates as per Govt. of India/ CSIR instructions on the subject
- Candidates who fulfill the under-mentioned criteria of age, educational qualifications, experience etc., may appear for walk-in-interview with the duly filled application form (download the application form from CSIR-IICT Website) along with one set of attested relevant documents.
- Candidates should register their names for walk-in-interview between 09.30 AM to 10.30 AM on 05.02.2024.
- Candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for verification.
- Experience shall be counted after obtaining the minimum prescribed qualification.
- Result awaited candidates are not eligible.
- The above age limits are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups (SC/ST/OBC) and PWD candidates as per Govt. of India/ CSIR instructions on the subject.
- The candidates who have already served CSIR-IICT or any other lab/institute of CSIR for a total period of 5 years or more are not eligible for these engagements.
- CSIR-IICT reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the award in case of any discrepancy found, in the candidature of any selected candidate at any stage.
- No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
