Applications are invited from Indian nationals to work as Project-JRF in a research project funded by the SERB, DST, New Delhi, Government of India.
Title: Metal-Organic-Framework-based Electrochemical Sensors Incorporated on a Paper Scaffold for the Detection of Heavy Metal Ions in Water
Candidates who have knowledge in Electrochemistry and some experience in electrochemical analysis and designing materials for sensing applications are highly preferred.

Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Duration: Initially for 6 months, extendable up to 1 or 1.5 years based on satisfactory performance.
Salary: INR 31,000 + HRA (as applicable) per month for the candidate with CSIR/ UGC NET or GATE qualification (JRF) or INR 25,000 + HRA (as applicable) per month for the candidate without CSIR/ UGC NET or GATE qualification.
Essential Qualifications:
- B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Polymer Science and Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Materials Science and Engineering / Chemical Technology or B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from a recognized University/Institute and having a minimum of 60% Marks or CGPA of 7.5 and above at a scale of 10.
- Having qualified for a national level examination like GATE/CSIR-JRF/ NET(JRF)/UGC-JRF/Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship or any other equivalent fellowship in Engineering Sciences/Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/allied areas is preferred.
Desirable:
- Candidates should have subject knowledge in electrochemistry and have some experience in electrochemical characterization techniques, e.g., CV, EIS, stripping voltammetry, DPV, etc.
- Candidates should have mathematics as a subsidiary subject at 12th and bachelor’s level.
- The position requires good analytical skills, some experience in various characterization techniques like SEM, UV-Vis, XRD, experiment design, handling of sophisticated equipment, and good English writing skills.
Age limit: Candidates should be below 28 years old.
