The role focuses on managing product safety information and documentation in compliance with varying global regulations. Core duties include creating safety data sheets and certificates, keeping product data up-to-date in SAP, monitoring regulatory updates, and improving related business processes.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain legally compliant safety data sheets, certificates, and other product safety documentation for global customers using SAP software. This includes Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) based on product and raw material data.
- Evaluate, maintain, and archive product safety related data in SAP systems.
- Monitor regulatory changes globally and analyze the impacts on products. Incorporate necessary changes into systems.
- Support continuous optimization of global processes related to product safety data and documentation.
Requirements
Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry.
Experience:
- Candidate should have atleast 2 years of experience.
- Experience or knowledge of International chemical legislations such as GHS (Globally Harmonised System), CLP (Classification, Labelling & Packaging), Dangerous goods, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & Restriction of Chemicals) etc. required.
- Ability to work in teams, flexible to support inter-team processes and willingness to travel (if required).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- ERP System (SAP) experience in particular modules EH&S and WINS required.
- Knowledge on safety tests for chemical products is advantageous but is not a must.
