The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier
institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in
2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education
in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance
by an Act of Parliament.
Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following post purely on
temporary and contractual basis under funded project:
Name of the Post: Senior Project Associate
No. of posts: 01 (One)
Title of the Project: “Valorization of mangrove species for the livelihood improvement of the mangrove-associated local communities via sustainable utilization”
Project Code: 34323680
Funding Agency: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA)
Minimum educational Qualification:
Ph.D. degree in Natural / Agricultural Sciences OR Pharma from a recognized university.
Please note that candidates who have defended their thesis and have a provisional Ph.D. degree certificate may also apply.
Candidates having following will be preferred –
- At least one peer reviewed international publication and research experience
- HPLC, LC-MSMS and GC-MS based analyses
- Statistical analyses like ANOVA, correlation, etc.
Job requirements: The successful candidate will have to conduct the HPLC, LC-MS and GC-MS based analyses.
Tenure of the appointment: Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments per month: Rs. 42,000/- + 24% (House Rent Allowance)
Age as on last date of application: Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and / or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.
