Applications are invited (Format attached) from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on SERB (R&D/IIT(BHU)Varanasi(SERB)/Pharma/23-24/06/510) sponsored project entitled “Exploring naturally inspired piperine derivatives as multitarget directed ligands for the management of Alzheimer’s disease” for a period of 3 years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Project Title: Exploring naturally inspired piperine derivatives as multitarget directed ligands for the management of Alzheimer’s disease
Duration: Initially for one year, extendable up to 3 years depends on the performance. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Essential Qualifications: First class in M. Pharm/M.S.(Pharm.)/ M.Tech(Pharm)/ M.Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmacognosy/ Natural Product/
Pharmacology with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or equivalent examination. The candidates should
have basic degree in pharmacy (B. Pharm). The candidates appearing in the final semester of M. Pharm/ M.S. (Pharm.) are also eligible. Such candidates need to produce the essential documents justifying qualification in case of selection
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates with expertise
in semi synthesis of natural products and cell biology related experiments will be preferred. In addition, the animal handling experience will be considered.Salary: As per SERB norms (Rs.31,000 + HRA 16%)
Age Limit: 28 Years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
