Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for the UPCST sponsored Project
Applications are invited from Indian citizens, who are resident of Uttar Pradesh for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for research project entitled “Design, synthesis, characterization of Dibromo Indolizine analogs and evaluation of their anti-inflammatory activity in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced model in vitro” vide sanction Order No.– CST/D1558 dated 26.10.2022 sponsored by Council of Science and Technology, U.P. Lucknow. The position is purely temporary with a consolidated stipend of INR 25000/- per month (without any benefit of HRA, CCA, PF, LTC, medical claim etc.) and will be governed by the funding agency CST U.P. guidelines & service conditions of NIPER-Raebareli.
The duly completed application (as per attached proforma), along with self-attested copies of supporting documents must reach to the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Associate Professor & Head, Department
of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Bijnor-Sisendi Road, Sarojini Nagar, Near CRPF Base Camp, Lucknow (UP)- 226002. The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the post of JRA for UPCST sponsored Project”. A scanned copy of duly filled and signed application form along with all the certificates should also be sent through email to PI: [email protected] and/or to Co-PI: Dr. Sandeep Chandrashekharappa, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, NIPER-Raebareli; [email protected] with subject line “Application for the post of JRA for UPCST sponsored Project”.Last Date of application for this post: 30.12.2023 (Till 5.00 pm).

Essential qualifications: The candidates should possess M.Sc. (Life sciences)/M.S. (Pharm.) or M. Pharm. in Pharmacology or Pharmacology & Toxicology or PG degree in other relevant branch of life sciences. High academic achievement with 1st class graduate and post-graduate examination with fulfillment of basic qualification.
Desirable skills: Preference may be for the candidates with exposure to cell-culture/experimental skills.
Age limit: Maximum 28 years as on 1st April 2023 (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GoI rules).
Tenure of Appointment: 2 years.
Notes:
- The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate will be called for an interview. The candidate will be shortlisted based on merit and need of the project.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview schedule within 2 weeks of the last date of the application.
- Shortlisted candidates must be present physically for the interview along with original certificates.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
- Since the position is purely temporary, no claim for regular appointment/continuation of services in any other project will be entertained.
