Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Project Associate-I in the SERB project File No: SRG/2022/000822 “Spin Dynamics of Magnetic Molecules” under the supervision of Dr. Suranjan Shil at the Manipal Centre for Natural Sciences (MCNS), Centre of Excellence, MAHE, Manipal. This theoretical investigation proposes to study the spin dynamics of magnetic molecules to answer the question of slow magnetic relaxation. The objectives of this project are (i) to study the spin transport property of chiral magnetic molecules and the effects of electric field on the transport property of chiral molecules to understand the relation between chirality and spintronics, and (ii) to study spin on surfaces to understand the dynamics of spins.

Qualification:
M.Sc. (Chemistry/Physics/ or related discipline) degree is mandatory. Candidates with Master degrees in Physics/Physical Chemistry are encouraged to apply. Candidates with prior computational experience will be given preferences.
Duration of Project: For a period of one year
Remuneration: Rs. 31000 + 8% HRA per month
