Eligbility Criteria
• Minimum: healthcare professional degree or degree in a healthcare-related field’ Desirable: advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in life science/healthcare
• 5–7 years’ experience in a Medical Information/Communications role specifically in the Pharmaceutical Industry (or a related Medical Affairs role with significant MI responsibility in the Pharmaceutical Industry)
• Past successes in leading a MI team responsible for global deliverables. Experience with delivering MI services at Global and local level; Product and disease area knowledge in Novartis therapeutic areas
• Strong knowledge of good practices in medical enquiry management, medical information writing, and medical content review; Experience in mana
ging MI content requests across multiple therapeutic areas• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and retain people. Demonstrated influencing and leadership skills in a matrix organization; Strong client focus

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Leading the development and implementation of standards to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with industry standards and codes of practice
• Acting as designated business owner for agreed MI systems; Responsible for reactive MI services
• Responsible for recruiting and resourcing of MI projects to meet the business needs. Responsible for required financial management for the team
• Leading the MI team, including identifying and retaining talented MI staff, effective management of all MI line reports and effective skills development
• Responsible for identifying, recruiting and retaining talented MI staff; Provide leadership in the establishment of a high performing team of MI Managers and Senior MI Managers
• Allocate appropriate MI resources to meet the business needs. Ensure effective management of all MI line reports
• Ensure effective skills development of MI line reports. Assist in the identification of training resources and appropriate courses for the MI team
• Lead the development and implementation of standards to support quality and compliance. Responsible for required financial management for the team
