Job Title: Advisor – Product Safety Communication (12 months fixed term contract)

Location: India – Mumbai

Eligbility Criteria & Experience:

Masters Degree in Chemistry/Technical/Science/Engineering with minimum 3+ years of experience in PSRC role.

Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • 3+ years of experience in PSRC role preferred. Previous experience preferably in R&D, product management or EHS.
  • Good knowledge of product safety communications preferred. (i.e. GHS) and chemical control legislations (OSHA, REACH)
  • Good knowledge of global transport classification systems
  • SAP-EHS experience preferred, Excel and basic IT skills required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and business writing are essential
  • Comfortable working with different cultures and through multiple time zones
    Occasional travel as required.

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible to classify Huntsman materials by following the GHS rules, and act as the first point of contact for all businesses to provide consultation and interpretation on GHS classification, SDS and label content.
  • To ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data contained in SDS and labels for Huntsman materials and that the content of SDS and labels meets Global regulatory requirements.
  • To follow the product safety communication procedures and is responsible for final approval and release of Global SDS and labels for all Huntsman businesses.
    To follow product safety communication standard procedures to identify changes in GHS classifications, update relevant SDSs and labels for all Huntsman materials and businesses. Job holder needs ensure a timely communication can be provided to customers via business stakeholders.
  • Monitor the assigned new and emerging regulations to provide early alert of any business impact.
  • Perform impact analysis in accordance to new and updated regulations. Consult with
  • Product Safety Communication Senior Advisors and Analyst on the interpretation of the results if it requires further interpretation. Communicate with PSRC internal stakeholders the impact and agree with business stakeholders on the plan and timeline of implementing the changes.
  • Based on request to provide product safety communication training to all businesses and external stakeholders (i.e. customers).
  • Issue product compliance certificates/regulatory datasheets/product declarations as requested by customers.
  • Maintain company databases to record customer responses for future retrieval, trend analysis and deriving meaningful actions.
