Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project funded by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India to the Department of Physics, School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, T.N, India.
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Project Title: “To study the cooling dynamics and mass spectrometry aspects of ions trapped in an electrostatic ion beam trap”
Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry
Desirable (if any):
M.Sc. Qualification (with above 60 % marks) with NET/GATE. Candidates having knowledge in the programming language such as C++, Mathematica and Python.
* M.Sc. candidates without NET/GATE will be paid as per VIT norms.
Note: Selected candidate will have an opportunity to register for Ph.D. in VIT Vellore.
Stipend: Rs. 31,000 /- per month plus 8 % HRA for 2 years
Sponsoring Agency: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India.
