Job Title: Postdoctoral Fellow
Project Title: “Energy and Environment Laboratory” at Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar.
Essential and Desirable Qualifications:
Applicant must have obtained Ph.D. degree in Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science with
focus in Nanotechnology related research with a good track record of publications in peerreviewed journals. Prior knowledge and experience over the nanocrystal growth and
characterization techniques are highly desirable. Fundamental understanding of the optoelectronic properties of quantum sized nanomaterials will be preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Development of novel nanostructures with rigorous structural, optical and electrical
characterization.
2. Demonstrating the functionality of the nanostructures in the form of a device towards
targeted applications such as gas sensing, photo detection, catalytic activities etc.
leading to energy and environment solutions.
Fellowship: As per rules of the Institute.
Duration: Initial appointment of the candidate will be for one year, extendable for the second year depending on the
performance of the candidate.Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided inside the IOP campus subject to the
availability. Else, HRA will be granted at the applicable rate.
