Location: New Delhi
About Scaling City Institutions for India (SCI-FI) at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR)
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Post Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering or allied fields of engineering is mandatory
- Prior professional experience in WASH sector will be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Sanitation with a minimum of two years of
experience working with the Government - Solid analytical and research skills, both in qualitative/quantitative approaches
- Knowledge of MS office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
- Good oral and written skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal and networking-building skills
- A team player, should have sensitivity towards interdisciplinary differences
Description of Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyse existing sanitation sector policies and policy environment, governance and
institutional bottlenecks, systems of management and coordination systems around water and sanitation sector programmes - Undertake research and assist in technical assistance for preparing project reports and
plans, covering the entire gamut of water and sanitation, viz. policy and legislation,
technology options for urban and rural convergence on FSM and PWM, used water
treatment and reuse, service delivery revamping through integration with IoT & GPS/GISenabled tools, financial sustainability of systems, etc - Develop reports, policy briefs, and guidance notes and provide assistance and support to the Odisha team on FSM and PWM
- Represent SCI-FI, CPR at various meetings and workshops at the State level and National level
- Liaison with various stakeholders and partners at the State and National Level
- Support the team on ongoing programme-related activities and programme
management functions - Any other responsibilities as may be assigned
