Medicinal Chemistry JRF Job Opening @ IIT Ropar – Apply

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow to work on a research project sponsored by BRNS, under the supervision of Dr. Anupam Bandyopadhyay, Department of Chemistry, IIT Ropar, Punjab 140001.

Project Title: Development of peptide-based infection imaging agents and deciphering interaction mechanisms of novel peptides with model cell membranes

Duration of the project: 3 years

Job Title: One (01) Junior Research Fellow

Fellowship amount: Rs.31,000/month first two years and 35,000/month for the last year as a SRF after the progress assessment by the committee.

Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.

Eligibility requirements:

1. Master in general chemistry or pharmacy (Med. Chem.) and must have a minimum of 6 months of experience in organic synthesis. If the candidate has additional experience in peptide synthesis will be preferred.

2. Candidate must have GATE score (AIR < 1200) or UGC/CSIR-LS (AIR < 100) or GPAT (AIR < 600).

3. Good documentation and communication skills in English are highly desirable.
