Project Title: Boosting the fluorescence of low quantum yield fluorophores and long range
Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) using anisotropic plasmonic
nanoantenna.

Project Tenure: 2 Years
Job Description: The project aims to improve the fluorescence and Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) signal of the weakly emitting fluorophores using anisotropic
plasmonic nanoantenna. The candidate will work in the interface of nanoplasmonics and photophysical chemistry. The research will be focused on the fabrication, characterization of metal nanostructures of different shape and size, and applications of these nanostructures in enhancing the fluorescence of weak emitters. The candidate will be actively engaged in writing research articles and patents.
Qualification: The candidate must hold an M.Sc degree in Chemistry or Physics. For

Desirable:
(a) NET/GATE qualified
(b) Proficiency in dealing with data analysis software e.g. Origin, IgorPro, Excel. Knowledge in programming language e.g. Python will be an added advantage.
(c) Good verbal and written communication skill in English.
Upper Age Limit Age not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is
allowed up to 5 year for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.
Fellowship: 31,000/- per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates. 25,000per month for non-NET/GATE qualified candidates.
Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time PhD program at BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.
