Applications are invited for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under Core Research Grant by SERB, DST Govt. of India Funded Project in the School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, Tamil Nadu – 632014, India.

Project Title:
“A Novel and Cost-effective Biogas Purification Technology using Polyacrylamide Gel to Power Bio-methane in Automobiles”.
Qualification:
M.E./ M.Tech/ MS or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 1st class or equivalent CGPA and GATE qualified in Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable (if any):
Candidates having knowledge in polymer synthesis and characterization, separation technology, component design, mathematical modelling and experience in technical writing will be preferred.
Stipend:
Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA (for first two years) & Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA (for the third year) – GATE Qualified
Non-GATE qualified students fellowship can be 90% of GATE stipend or as per the Institute rules at the time of appointment.
