Elibgility Criteria & Skills:
They are keen to hear from individuals with at least a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an institution of repute, with at least First Class (or equivalent) outcomes. Along with at least 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following:
- International Oil & Gas Companies, with experience achieved in Research & Development; Plant/Asset Technologist; Process Engineering; or Production Support function.
- Reputed Engineering Companies, with the majority of the experience achieved in process design, multiple plant Commissioning and plant support.
- National Oil & Gas Companies, with the majority of the experience achieved in Research & Development; Technical Services – Process Engineering or Production support to operating assets.
- Exceptional candidates with allied experience in Upstream, Refinery or Petrochemical processes will also be considered, subject to meeting other requirements.
The following competencies and skills are also required for this role:
- Strong delivery mindset with close attention to detail for process engineering data, calculation review, and data design.
- Strong technical capability to understand technologies and translate requirements to Digital teams.
- Familiarity with laboratory operation and experimentation data workflow.
- Knowledge of agile and digital methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal & networking skills to manage numerous stakeholders globally and work effectively across organizational boundaries
- Team Player with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional project team.
- Technical depth in given field with a natural tendency to explore new possibilities and apply skills to solve unique problems
- Learning mindset, natural curiosity, and passion for continuous improvement.
- Good understanding of technology transfer and technical service require translating to effective delivery and enterprise business value.
What’s the role?
In this role, you will have the following accountabilities:
- Drive the technical delivery of digital data solutions as part of a multidiscipline, global project team
- Work closely with the research and experimentation communities to understand requirements to shape, drive and support digital data projects.
- Build strong cross-collaboration and develop natural teams between researchers, experimentalists, IT, Computational Science and Digital Innovation, and Digital Vendors to co-create and co-develop digital data ideas.
The Research & Laboratories (R&D) Technical Data Management team (TDM) is global team in Projects & Technology. The R&D TDM team is accountable for providing technical data management support to Shell’s Research & Laboratories including but not limited to Chemicals, Gas Conversion & Processing, Catalysts, New Energies, and Upstream. The team leads the design and development of digital and data solutions for R&D in partnership with Shell’s Information Technology organization.
