Project Title: Development of sensors for blast and blight diseases and stomatal activity
measurement in rice (O. Sativa L.)
Funding Agency: Indian Council of Agriculture Research-NASF
Principal Investigator: Dr. Prabhat Nath Jha, Department of Biological Sciences
Project Tenure: 9 Months
Job Description: The Candidate will carry out regular microbiology studies of Xanthomonas oryzae to extract and characterize pigment. He/She will also scaleup the growth of given microorganisms for pigment extraction and characterization using a fermenter. The candidate will also work on other experiments and assignments related with project work.
Eligbility Criteria: M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Pharmacy or related life science disciplines.
Desirable: GATE/NET qualified.
Upper Age Limit Age not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 year for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.
Fellowship: Rs 35,000 per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates.
Rs 28,000 per month for non-NET/GATE qualified candidates.
