IIT BHU Chemistry & Pharma Job Opening – Applications Invited
Applications are invited in the attached format from Indian nationals for the post of Project Associate to work on AICTE IKS Cell Division-sponsored project under the IKS Center Scheme. Check out all the details on the same below:
Job Title: Project Associate
Project Title: IKS@IIT(BHU) Varanasi (Nyaya, Holistic Medicine and Wellness,
Chemistry of dyes, pigments, chemicals used in India, Math & Astronomy in India)
Duration: two years. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
Fellowship Amount: Rs. 27,500 (consolidated) per month
Eligibility Criteria:
For Holistic Medicine and Wellness: The applicant must have a first class degree in M.
Pharm/M. S. (Pharm.)/M. Tech (Pharm)/M. Tech in Medicinal Chemistry/Pharmaceutical
Chemistry and Pharmacognosy. The candidates should have basic degree in pharmacy (B.
Pharm) or M.Sc. in Chemistry (organic/natural products). It is expected that the applicant would be able to read Classical Ayurvedic texts in Sanskrit or any other Indian language and translate those into modern languages.
For Chemistry of dyes sub-domain: The applicant must have a first class degree in M.Sc
Chemistry or related subject. It is expected that the applicant would be able to read Classical texts in Sanskrit
Desirable qualifications: Good reading, writing, and communication skills in English (demonstrated proofs such as published articles – popular or otherwise at college level or upward will be an added benefit); handling basic computer software for writing, plotting and doing basic mathematics; NET/GATE qualification; UG or PG degree in Sanskrit,
Candidates with 1-2 years of experience on HPLC/LC-MS in an industry/ academic laboratory is desired (for b and c above).
Age limit: 28 Years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules

General Instructions:
1. The PI has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
2. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview and no other communications in this regard will be entertained.
3. Original certificates and self-attested copies of all certificates need to be presented before the interview for verification.
