Job Title: Assistant Manager or Deputy Manager – Product Development & Technical

Location Kolkata

Elibiglity Criteria:

B.Tech. or PG degree (MTech/MSc) in Polymer Engineering or Analytical Chemistry

Experience:

5 years experience in ISO 17025 : 2017 compliant plastics testing laboratory with knowledge of plastic pipe testing preferred.

Hands-on Experience in Polymer Rheology & Spectrocopy preferred.

Skills and Behavior:

• Adequate knowledge of plastic testing techniques – mechanical, rheological & spectroscopic analysis.
• Quality Systems and statutory standards for testing eg IS, ISO and ASTM.
• Basic testing machine maintenance
• Certified or Experience in Laboratory operations as per ISO 17025 : 2017

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Conduct testing and analysis of Plastics/Polymer materials and products as per the applicable national &/or international standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
Interacts with regional technical support, customers and end users on issues related to customers’ applications specific requirements, product improvement and

quality related issues.

• Coordinates with regional technical services on customer redressal of customer complaints for technical/quality complaints.
• Interacts with customers & conducts market research to understand changing/emerging needs, plans, designs, benchmarks & develops new product to address the emerging requirements of the customers/market.
• Preparation of technical communications, datasheets, technical notes etc.
• Coordinates & conducts benchmarking of HPL products.
• Analyzing and conducting experimental trials with new additive recipe for HPL products with an objective of improving/maintaining quality.
• Maintain Laboratory equipments and ensure timely calibration & Proper functioning of all equipments with spares planning.
• Should conform to ISO 17025:2017 compliant Lab systems and protocols.

• Should have strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Oral communication skill for customer and official interaction.
• Written communication skills for Technical Reports and Official Communication
• Should be self starter and motivated
• Capable of Handling grievances
• Agile and ready to work in pressure.
