Job Title: Associate Research Fellow
Eligibility Criteria:
Master of Science (M.Sc.): General Chemistry / Organic Chemistry / Inorganic chemistry
Experience: 2-3 Years in Chemical Industries / Academic Research
Type of employment: Temporary (1 Year Contract)
Job purpose:
- Execute Experimental Plan scientifically
- Maintain experimental work area
- Conduct/provide support in testing
- Support during pilot trials
Job context:
- Provide experimental data to support the experimental plan of an R&D project
- Ensure good accuracy and repeatability of data
- Ensure timeliness of execution, and safety & quality of work while executing
- Develop innovative experimental procedures and data collection methods to achieve desired goals if applicable
KRA
KRA-1: Accountability: Execution of Experimental Plan in a safe accurate a
nd timely manner• Set up routine experiments at lab/pilot scales as per the experimental plan and improvise on the setup as required.
• Conduct experiments as per the experimental plan in a safe manner
Record observations & collect data.
• Provide support in experiments at larger scales and record observations.
• Conduct sample testing and record results.
• Compile experimental data.
• Operate special equipment as per the plan, with appropriate training.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments and data in a laboratory notebook
• Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for experiments wherever available. Also, develop SOP wherever required for new experiments.
• List & procure chemicals/glassware/apparatus/accessories to execute experiments as per the plan.
KRA-2: Maintain experimental work area
• Maintain lab equipment and their functioning
• Maintain hygiene and safety in workplace
• Coordinate with vendors for laboratory equipment, specification, and quotation
KRA3: Provide support in internal and external testing
• Prepare and send samples for testing at identified laboratories.
• Coordinate with the laboratories for results
