Job Title: Project Associate – I
Elibiglity Criteria: M.Sc. Chemistry
Desirable: Working knowledge in air quality/environmental sampling and monitoring,
analysis of air/environmental samples, handling of analytical instruments and another field
instruments, data handing in MS Excel
No. of positions: 2 (may vary)
Salary: Rs. 25000/- per month+ HRA as admissible
Upper age limit: 35 years

Job Title: Project Associate – II
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) M.Sc. Chemistry
(ii) Minimum 2-year experience in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services
Desirable: Higher qualification over and above specified minimum educational qualification; 3-year experience after post-graduation on environmental sampling and monitoring, analysis of environmental samples, handling of sophisticated analytical instruments and other field instruments, data handin
g in MS Excel.No. of positions: 2 (may vary)
Salary: Rs. 28000/- per month + HRA as admissible
Upper age limit: 35 years

Job Title: Senior Project Associate
Eligibility Criteria: (i) M.Sc. Chemistry
(ii) Minimum 4-year experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services OR Ph.D. (Environmental Science/Chemistry /Atmospheric Science/Environmental
Engineering/Chemical Engineering)from a recognized university or equivalent
Desirable: Minimum2-year experience on remote sensing/GIS/ Geoinformatics or air
pollution monitoring, assessment, and meteorological/air quality modeling
No. of positions: 1 (may vary)
Stipend: Rs. 42000/- per month + HRA as admissible
Upper age limit: 40 years
Date of walk-in-interview: 8th April 2022 (reporting time 9:30-10:00 AM)
Job Requirement:
Post 3: Undertaking rigorous field trips and surveys anywhere in India; Sampling of air, water, soil, plant biomass, and all other types of environmental samples; Environmental monitoring; Laboratory analysis of environmental samples at Kolkata, Nagpur or other CSIR Laboratories; Secondary data collection; Data compilation and analysis; Report preparation, etc.
Post 4: Undertaking rigorous field trips and surveys anywhere in India; Fieldwork management at site; Analysis of environmental parameters at Kolkata and Nagpur or other CSIR laboratories; Handling of sophisticated equipment (HPLC, ICP-OES, etc); Secondary data collection, Satellite data handling and management; Report Preparation, Geo-referencing/remote sensing works.
Post 5: Geo-referencing/remote sensing works; Modelling; Satellite data management; Support in project management; Report preparation, Manuscript preparation.
How to Apply
All eligible and interested candidates may attend a walk-in (in person) interview before the Selection Committee to be held at Kolkata Zonal Centre of CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), i-8, Sector- ‘C’, EKADP, EM Bypass, Kolkata-700107. Interview for posts No. 3,4 will be held on 07.04.2022; Interviews for posts No. 5,6 will be held on 8.4.22. Reporting Time for the walk-in-interview will be 9:30‒10:30 AM on all days. The candidates should appear with the duly filled-in application form as per the attached format (Annexure II) and a hard copy of detailed Biodata (signed) along with original and one copy of all certificates of educational qualification and experience.
No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. Candidates found not fulfilling the prescribed educational qualification will not be considered for selection. The decision of the Selection Committee, duly approved by the competent authority will be final.
Notification is also displayed on the Institute website (www.neeri.res.in) wherefrom the application form can be downloaded. No interim inquiries will be entertained in this regard
