CSIR-IHBT Announces PhD Admission Under AcSIR – Applications Invited
CSIR-IHBT, a premier research institute of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research CSIR, invites applications for Ph.D. Programme under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) from eligible candidates. Eligibility Criteria:
Ph.D. (Science): Master’s Degree in Science/ Technology and a valid National Level Fellowship NET-JRF/SRF of various funding agencies (CSIR/UGC/RGNF/DBT/ICMR/BINC/INSPIRE/G-PAT or other equivalent fellowships) for the
Ph.D. programme at CSIR-IHBT:
Chemical Sciences– Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Physical Chemistry/ Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Existing Research Fellows/ Projects Assistants/ Project Associates working at CSIR- IHBT in a sanctioned R&D project for at least one year (as on the notified last date of application for admission) can only apply with the prior permission of the PI of the project and concurrence of the Director of the Institute.
Further, the applicant should be working in a sanctioned R&D project on the date of his online application for admission to the Ph.D. program and the financial assistance from the project to the applicant should be valid for at least one year from the notified date of commencement
of the academic session for which the applicant is seeking Ph.D. admission.CSIR Group III/ IV staff who fulfill the academic qualifications as above are also eligible to apply for Ph.D. in Part Time mode with the approval of the Lab Director.
Admission criteria for SC/ST/OBC/Women/ Physically Handicapped/ EWS candidates is relaxable as per GoI rules.
