Job Title: Product Engineer – Automotive Aftermarket

Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor or above degree in Chemical Engineering or related equivalent background like material science, applied chemistry, or Masters in Chemistry from an accredited University.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3year as minimum5+ years of experience preferred. Technical diploma in an automotive discipline (experience must be 5+ years in that case)
- Working experience in Laboratory Set-Up/ Automotive Workshops or Quality Control
- Departments, Application Development in Industrial Sector or Automotive sector/ relevant Automotive After Market experience or equivalent.
- Previous experience in product engineering will be a plus
- “Can do/will do” attitude
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening and presentation)
- Ability to analyze, problem-solve and implement solutions
- Excellent computer skills
- Innovation skills to generate new ideas or alternative solutions
- Willingness to work Hands-On in Laboratory/ Workshop set up, and with minimum supervision. Individual Contributor role.
Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Technical support for manufacturing of existing and new product for the Automotive Aftermarket Division, including products in Collision repair and ProCare/ Auto Care.
Work closely with cross-functional team to support product engineering work like raw material change, process change, dual sourcing, manufacture site changing, packaging change, lab test for quality complaints, stability studies, process qualification runs, and so on. - Conduct lab evaluation work for product engineering, including but not limited to durability, stability test, specific property verification, application verification, Benchmarking, etc.
- Work with related division and global team closely, actively communicate and participate in Division priority activities, complete assignments timely with minimum supervision.
- Lead replication programs of existing products globally … including but not limited to
- Product Qualification, Packaging Qualification, Regulatory compliance co-ordination, and so on.
- Maintain the Lab Assets, responsible for EHS in the workspace, support statutory audits as and when applicable, coordinate with Vendors and External Test agencies as and when required, maintain systematic records of work and comply with corporate standards wherever applicable.
- Developing competitive awareness and testing competitive products
- Creating and enhancing presentations (PowerPoint and other computer skills)
