Online applications are invited from bonafide citizens of India for selection of candidates for recruitment to 5(five) vacancies (UR-02 & ST-03) (Temporary) posts of Scientific Officer, Group-B, Gazetted in three different branches/ discipline, State Forensic Science Laboratory under Home Department, Government of Tripura.

Pay Scale: Rs. 47,600-in the Level -13 of Tripura State Pay Matrix-2018 (Pre — Revised Pay Band-3(Rs.10.230-34,800/-) + Grade Pay Rs.4,800/ under the Home Department, Govt. of Tripura.
Eligibility Criteria:
For Chemical Science Discipline (Chemistry Division, Toxicology Division):
M.Sc with 50% marks in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects from any recognized university.
Desirab1e Qualification: Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok.
Age:- Age not less than 18(eighteen) years and more than 40 years as on 16.04.2022 Relaxable by 5(five) years in case of SC/ ST/ PH candidates and Government -servants. However, the SC/ ST[Govt. The servant will not get the further relaxation of 5(five) years over and above relaxation of 5(five) years which they are already entitled to get as SC/ ST candidates.
Selection Procedure:
The selection process
will be held in two steps for all Item numbers viz :i. Written Examination 180 marks (MCQ type OMR based):
There will be Negative marks for MCQ. For each question for which a wrong answer/multiple answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

ii. Interview 20 marks:
(a) Interview: A limited no. of candidates, maximum of 5(five) times of total posts (category wise) will be selected merit-wise on the basis of the result of the Written Examination.
(b) It is also mentioned here that candidate(s) scoring marks equal to that of the last qualified candidate in the Written Examination shall also be called for Interview.
(c) The candidates who will be found qualified in the written examination will be called to appear in the Interview.
(d) In the list of recommendations, the merit position of candidates securing equal marks will be finalized as per their seniority of age. The same procedure is to be followed for preparing waiting List if there be any. Further, provided that, in the list of recommendations, the merit position of candidates securing equal marks in aggregate and also of the same age will be decided on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the minimum educational qualification prescribed in Recruitment Rules/ Service Rules.
(e) Ranks of the candidates are not prepared for the candidates beyond the recommendation list & waitlist (if there be any).
(f) The final selection will be made in order of merit and the merit list will be prepared by adding the marks obtained in the written examination and Interview. If a candidate remains absent in Interview his/her candidature will not be considered for final selection.

1. Online Application Portal:
(a) Candidates will have to submit applications through Online Application Portal only. The Commission will not entertain any hard copy application. Before submission of online application, read carefully the instruction to candidates regarding filling up of online application.
(b) Online Application Portal will be available on Commission’s website from 15.03.2022 to 16.04.2022 (5.30 PM). Before applying for the post, an applicant shall register his/her bio-data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission’s Website viz. tpsc.tripura.gov.in. Once an applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is. generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID. Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through the Commission’s website.
(c) Applicants should avoid submitting multiple applications against single item no. However, if due to any •unavoidable circumstances, any applicant submits multiple applications then he/she must ensure that the application with the latest Receipt Number is complete in all respect.
The last date of submission of the online application is 16.04.2022 (upto 5.30 PM). The application (s) received after the closing date will not be entertained.
