RGCB Chemistry Job Opening – Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following positions in a DST-funded project entitled “Scientific reinvention of ethnic food and medicine from Kerala for functional food and drug development” under Professor Chandrabhas Narayana at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
Job Title: Project Associate – II (1 Position)
Job Description:
Food Processing, Functional food development, Scientific study on ethnic food, Chemical characterization of wild oils and related fieldwork.
Elibgility Criteria:
Good Academic records with a First Class Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Pharmacology or medicine or Food Technology.
Experience: Two years documented experience in food processing, food technology/ Phytochemical analysis and functional food development (after Masters).
The Candidate with a doctoral degree having relevant expertise in Food Processing and Functional food development will get preference in the selection procedure.
Age:
Below 32 years as on March 21, 2022. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Salary: ₹ 35,000/- + 18% HRA per month.
Duration:
Initially for a period of one year and extendable up to three years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation.
Selection Process:
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of marks obtained, and scanned copies of original certificates/credentials and experience to reach the undersigned only through Email on or before March 21, 2022. Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through the proper channel.

As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus at the end of the project.
