A successful candidate will build knowledge of the company, product, materials, processes, and customers, solve a range of straightforward problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures while receiving a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Eligibility Criteria:

• bachelor, master, and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or other chemical-related disciplines.

• 2+ years directly relevant work experience.

• Footwear experience preferred; Experience in other related industries like tires, polyurethane, plastics manufacturing, etc. may also be considered.

• Fluent in written and verbal English.

• Strong problem solving, data analysis, and communication skills.

• natural curiosity and drive for continuous improvement.

• Ability to be part of complex initiatives and project teams.

• Passion for sustainability and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilties: 

In this role you will:

• Ensure product quality through the application of innovative technologies and processes to enable the transition of

programs to the inline or manufacturing space.

• Support strategic chemical and sustainable projects aligned with the global chemical and engineering initiatives.

• Generate tests, analyze data, draw conclusions, and make the subsequent process or product recommendations or briefs of assigned projects.

• Solve general engineering problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

• Assist in presenting concepts and solutions at the functional level.

• Develop future-ready skills and competencies and provide general day-to-day working guidance to factory partners.

• Support new chemical facility ramp-up while ensuring consistent quality.

• Participate in the validation of cutting-edge technology and confirm manufacturing readiness.

• Be accountable for ensuring the factory’s progress against Nike strategic goals and adherence to Nike’s manufacturing and quality standards.

• Work with Nike leadership and factory teams to ensure the best practices are implemented at our factories.

• Utilize chemical and process engineering knowledge and apply research towards the design, development, and scale-up of new products and processes with the highest quality.

• Perform product and process development engineering work in one or more general engineering functions, including chemical, material, innovation and mechanical, etc.

• Provide expertise in bottom technology within the product creation teams during the development phase to resolve potential manufacturing, efficiency or costing concerns.

• Ability to deliver a tested and proven product to the market.
