Elibgility Criteria For Research Programs, Postgraduate & Integrated PhD
Research Programmes[Ph.D/M.S(Engg.)/M.S(Research)] in Sciences and Engineering from candidates with M.Sc or equivalent, BE/B.Tech or equivalent or ME/MTech or equivalent or B.VSc/M.VSc or MBBS/MD as applicable to individual Units. Candidates should have at least 55% in their highest University examination and should also have qualified in any one of the National exams: GATE/JEST/GPAT/UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/INSPIRE-JRF.
Master of Science (M.Sc) in Chemistry with an option to specialize in Materials Chemistry or Chemical Biology or Energy. Applicants possessing a minimum of 55% marks at the Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science with Chemistry as a major subject and who have qualified the Joint Admissions Test for Masters (JAM) are eligible to apply.
Selection procedure For Postgraduate:
Shortlisted JAM candidates will be called for an interview directly. The final selection is based on the performance in the interview.
Integrated Ph.D. Programmes in Physical Science, Chemical Science, and Biological Science. Candidates should
have a minimum of 55% marks at the Bachelor’s level. Those appearing in the final examination of their Bachelor’s degree this year may also apply. Candidates qualified in the Joint Admissions Test for Masters (JAM) are encouraged to apply. SC/ST/PwD/EWS/Minorities/Women candidates are encouraged to apply.Selection Procedure For Intergartde PhD Programs:
Shortlisting for interviews for selection to the Int. Ph.D. Physical Sciences and Int. Ph.D. Chemical Science Programme will be based on the Joint Admission Test for Master’s (JAM) score. These shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for interviews online. The final selection to the Int. Ph.D. The program will be based on the performance in the interview
Guidelines for Candidates:
Applications are invited from eligible applicants for admissions to the following programmes:
(1) Research Programmes [(Ph.D. / MS(Engg.) / MS(Research)]
(2) Master of Science (M.Sc) in Chemistry with the option to specialize in Materials
Chemistry/Chemical Biology / Energy (Two-year programme)
(3) Integrated Ph.D. Programmes
The gist of the admission operations is given in the following paragraphs. Applicants possessing the educational qualifications including those in the final semester/year of their qualifying examinations but expect to complete all the requirements for the award of the degree (like examinations, project dissertations, viva-voce, etc.,) by 30.07.2022 and can furnish necessary certificates on or before 31 October 2022 are eligible to apply.
Scholarships: All the regular students [except Master of Science (M.Sc) in Chemistry] joining JNCASR are eligible for a scholarship from JNCASR/ CSIR / UGC/ ICMR / DBT /INSPIRE depending upon their mode of entry.

Applications for all the programs mentioned above are available online. (only online
applications will be considered).
Application Fee:
The application fee is Rs.500/- and is non-refundable. Any bank or payment gateway service charges must be borne by the applicant. Initiation of processing refund of multiple payments transactions due to payment gateway errors will be done only after the closing date of the application. For refund of multiple payments (Rs 1000/above), the request should be sent by email with relevant evidence of transactions to [email protected]. Options of online payment through net-banking, debit card/credit card, etc. is available
