Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Ramanujan Fellowship project entitled “Investigation of the function-property relationship of various gold nanoparticle-based nano constructs for biological applications” in the laboratory of Dr. Debanjan Bhowmik at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.

Eligbility Criteria:
The candidate must have a consistent academic record with a Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biology/Physics/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Material Science.
The Candidate should have qualified National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ or National Level Examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions viz., DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test/ Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JBEEBILS)/ ICMR Entrance Exam/ Approved DST Inspire Fellowship, etc.
The candidates with documented or demonstratable experience in metal nanoparticle synthesis and /or handling and optical imaging of cancer cell–lines are preferred.
Age:
Below 28 years as on February 25, 2022. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Salary: ₹ 31,000/- + applicable HRA per month.
Duration:
Initially for a period of one year
and extendable till termination of the project whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation.Selection Process:
Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format with a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of marks obtained and scanned copies of original certificates/credentials and experience to reach the undersigned only through Email on or before February 25, 2022. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus at the end of the project.
