Roles and Responsibilities
Applications are invited for the Post of Senior Research/Project Fellow (SRF/SPF) for the DST-WTI Funded Project under the grant DST/TM/WTI/WIC/2K17/82/(G3)
Project title: Centre for Sustainable Treatment, Reuse and Management for efficient, affordable, and Synergetic solutions for Water-
Water Innovation Centre (WIC) for SUTRAM of EASY WATER.
The WIC for SUTRAM of EASY WATER is for a duration of 5 years with a total grant of 9.84 crores sanctioned in 2018. The WIC involves 9 partner Institutions along with IIT, Madras. VIT, Chennai is one of the partner institutes. This advertisement is to recruit SRF/SPF for the remaining period till the end of 2023.
The work package deliverables from VIT, Chennai are: (i) C,N,P removal/recovery system from wastewater using SBR/granular sludge and allied methods and to make the treated
water re-usable and (ii) Textile azo-dye removal using mixed culture bacterial consortium.Sponsoring Agency: Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi
Qualification: bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 2 years of experience in the development of biological processes in the related topic(s) are preferred.
Stipend: Rs. 30,800 per month (Consolidated) for experienced candidates and Rs.28,200 per month for candidates fresh or less than 2 years of experience.
Duration: Till End of 2023.
