Job Title: Assoc QA Engineer
Location: IN

Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor or higher degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related subject
- 3 years of working experience in Chemical Regulatory Compliance, Quality or Chemical testing would be preferred.
- Basic understanding of chemicals management regulations, including but not limited to EU Toy Safety Directive, REACH, CLP, US State Reporting, etc.
- Knowledge in material processing, process control/management, and material engineering.
- Knowledge in ISO9001, ISO14001, QC08000 audits and respective auditor certifications would be an advantage.
- Attention to detail, independent with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Good command of English and Chinese
- Travel may be required.
In this role, Associate QA Engineer (Chemist) will:
- Develop vendor/supplier’s capability on chemical management and compliance.
- Manage the chemical usage throughout the supply chain as part of the Chemical Management Program
- Improve vendor capability in preparation & compilation of product chemical data on time to avoid schedule delays.
- Review and assess new and/or sustainable materials to support sustainability initiatives (e.g. bio-based materials, PVC replacement, recycled plastics etc.)
- Perform material chemical assessment – review chemical lists from existing & new suppliers, negotiate and follow up on BOS disclosure from raw material manufacturers, including but not limited to high chemical risk material.
- Perform product chemical assessment – Perform assessments of the product Bill of
- Material (BOM)/ Bill of Substance (BOS).
- Visit factory when needed to perform on-site chemical review and verification.
