Pay Scale Pay Level- 07

Age Not exceeding 30 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 33 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Not exceeding 35 years for SC/ST candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto Five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Essential Qualification 

Masters Degree in Science in one of the subjects viz. Physics, Chemistry(Inorganic), Chemistry(Organic) from a recognized University Or Bachelor degree

in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical or Production from a recognized University or Institute.

Experience:

Two years practical experience in Production or Development or Quality Assurance in the field of Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized organization or undertaking.

Note

(i) The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

(ii) The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe, if at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

Desirable Qualification

Duty(ies) The officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipment, arms and ammunition stores, defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvement of quality.

Probation Two years.

Headquarters New Delhi with All India Service Liability.

Other Details General Central Service, Group B’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial). These posts are permanent.
