The Institute has state-of-art laboratory infrastructure required for advance plant science research and product development. These include NMR, SEM, TEM, High-Resolution Mass Spectroscopy, FTIR, HPLC, HPTLC, MALDI-TOFF, NGS platform, ICPMS, FACE (Free Air Carbon Dioxide Enrichment facility), Super Computer system, Flow Cytometer, and Confocal Microscope.

Job Title: Senior Scientist

Eligibility Criteria: Ph.D. in any science subject in the area of Pharmacognosy/
Chemotaxonomy followed by 02 years of experience in the relevant area.
Desirable: The candidate should have experience of the collection of medicinal plants from the wild, quality control of raw materials, monographic studies, chemotaxonomic studies of
medicinal plants, and herbal drug development. The claims must be supported by
publications/patents in the abovementioned areas.
Job Specification: The selected candidate is expected to take up monographic and chemotaxonomic studies for the identification of Quality planting/raw materials (QPM/QRM), herbal product
development, and handling of instruments like HPLC, HPTLC, GCMS-MS

- Ph.D. certificate should clearly indicate the date of award of Ph.D. degree. Completion of Ph. D degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification
- In respect of equivalent clause in essential qualifications, if a candidate is claiming a particular qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement of the advertisement, the candidate is required to produce Order/Letter in this regard, indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been so treated, otherwise the application is liable to be rejected.
- The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications and/or experience shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of online applications i.e. 31-01-2022.

A.M.) till 31.01.2022 ( upto 05.00 P.M.) No other mode of application will be accepted - Candidates are requested to keep a copy of the application printout for their records.
- All the instructions for filling online applications is available at our website. Candidates
are requested to read and follow instructions carefully for applying online. - To avoid any technical difficulty, candidates are advised to submit an online application
well in advance of the date of closing of online application. - Online Applications will be available on the CSIR-NBRI website https://www.nbri.res.in. The website will be Opened on 06.12.2021 (10.00 a.m. onwards) and closed on 31.01.2022 (till 5.00 p.m.). It is mandatory to take the printout of the successfully submitted online application form, sign the same and attach the self-attested mandatory documents and passport size photograph. The printout of the application along with the relevant documents must reach CSIR-NBRI on or before 21.02.2022 upto 6.00 p.m. i.e. within 21 days of the last date of the online application submission.
- For submission of online applications, the candidates are required to pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) through online payment link available in the CSIR-NBRI recruitment portal at CSIR-NBRI website only. The transaction number generated after successful payment of fee is required to be mentioned in the online application. The candidates are advised to mention the transaction No. of online
payment in the application form. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/PwBD
and candidates from abroad, and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from
payment of application fee. - The printout of the successfully submitted online application must be duly signed by the
candidate and sent in an envelope superscribed “Application for the post of _______,
Post Code _____, Area ______” (Advertisement No. 03/2021) by speed post/registered post only so as to reach on or before 21.02.2022 (upto 06.00 P.M.) to the following address: Controller of Administration, CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow-226001.
