BITS Pilani Chemical Science & Chemistry Job Opening 2021
Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following project sponsored by DST-SERB (SRG/2021/001118) under the supervision of Dr. Somak Chatterjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani (Pilani campus), Rajasthan. The details are as follows:
Job Title: JRF
Project Title Application of co-axial electrospun novel composite nanofiber membranes towards specific and efficient removal of arsenic, lead and fluoride from groundwater
Project Duration 2 Years (24 Months)
Principal Investigator (PI) Dr. Somak Chatterjee
Fellowship 31,000 INR Per Month
Essential Qualifications M.E./M.Tech in Chemical/Mechanical/ Material Science Engineering or allied branches or M.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry) with at least 60% marks.
Desirable Qualifications Candidates with NET/GATE qualified are desirable,
prior knowledge in membrane fabrication with
(a) Hands-on knowledge in electrospinning and synthesis of nanofiber membranes
(b) Characterization methods, analytical techniques, and flow simulation programming, especially COMSOL.
(c) Good lab ethics and professional transparency.
