Applications are invited through online mode (through email [email protected] ) for engagement of 01 (one) Young Professional-I
purely on short term contractual basis and co-terminus with the project “Development of natural fiber-based vegan leather products” in CRP-8 on natural fiber being executed under Mechanical Processing Division of ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, 12 Regent Park, Kolkata – 700040. No other mode of application will be entertained. The eligibility criteria and other details for the said position are as under:

Diploma/ Bachelor Degree in Chemical Technology OR B.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
Age: 21-45 Yrs.
*In case of dual qualifications of Diploma and B.E/B.Tech, the higher qualification will be
considered for evaluation purpose
Terms & Conditions:
1. Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the eligible candidates are requested to send
their scanned copy of the application in the enclosed proforma addressed to the Director,
ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata -700040 appended with detailed bio-data affixing recent passport size photograph of the candidate and copies of self-attested certificates in support of age, qualifications, experience, and other credentials to [email protected] latest by 5:00 PM of 10.12.2021. All applications
2. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
3. A consolidated amount of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty-five thousand only) will be paid
to the selected candidate as monthly remuneration. No House Rent Allowance (HRA)
will be paid to the YP s. The income tax or any other tax liable to be deducted as per the
prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting payment of monthly salary
4. The above position is purely on a temporary basis. The selected candidate will not be entitled to any claim for regular appointment/absorption in this Institute or in ICAR in the future.
5. The selection of Young Professional (YP) shall be subject to the laws of secrecy of the
country and the selected candidate will sign a declaration of secrecy and NonDisclosure Agreement before reporting
6. During the term of engagement, the YP shall comply with the Standards of Conduct.
Failure to comply with the same will become a ground for termination of the YP without
notice.
7. The selected candidate will be initially engaged for a period of one year which maybe
extended for subsequent two more years (01 years at a time) based on needs of the
Institute and work performance of the selected candidate. However, the appointment will
be purely contractual basis and may be terminated at any time during the period for any
administrative reason.
8. Candidates should produce a “No Objection Certificate” from his/her present employer, if
employed elsewhere.
9. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for appearing in the Interview.
10. Age will be reckoned from the last date of submission of the application.
11. Eligible candidates will have to report at this Institute one hour prior to the scheduled
date & time with all documents/certificates (qualifications, experience, etc.) in original
for verification. The candidate will not be allowed to attend the Interview who comes
after 12:30 P.M.
12. If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at a later stage, his/her
candidature will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this
regard.
13. In view of COVID-19 Pandemic, wearing of a mask, hand sanitization, social
distancing, and other Covid 19 preventive guidelines will be strictly followed. No
candidate will be allowed to enter the ICAR-NINFET campus without a mask. It is desired,
that the candidate who appeared physically for the interview should have double vaccination.
14. The YPs in ICAR are eligible for 08 days leave in a calendar year on pro-rata
basis and 02 restricted holidays as per the rules of Govt. of India/ lCAR. The unveiled
leave will not be carried forward in the next calendar year. Female YPs will be entitled
to maternity leave as per provision in the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act 20l7.
However. there will be no paternity leave for male YPs.
15. Canvassing in any form will liable to disqualify the candidature. The decision of
the Director, ICAR NINFET will be final and binding in all respect.
16. Only 10 numbers of candidates who stand sufficiently high in merit on the basis
of aggregate marks obtained in respect of essential educational qualifications &
experience criteria will be shortlisted for calling to attend the interview.
17. Final selection will be on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the shortlisting and interview taken together in order of merit.
18. For shortlisting the candidates for interview: In the case where the total marks obtained are equal, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
19. For the final selection of the candidates: In case of the overall equal marks, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
20. Final selection will be on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the shortlisting
and interview taken together in order of merit.
